BioShock Infinite Now Free on Xbox 360 for Gold Members

It's March 16, which means Xbox 360 owners with an Xbox Live Gold membership can now download another free game. Up for grabs now through the end of the month is Irrational Games' critically acclaimed 2013 first-person shooter BioShock Infinite.

If you're at school or work, you can queue up your download from the Xbox Web Marketplace.

BioShock Infinite replaces the Tomb Raider reboot, which was free March 1-15.

Xbox One owners with an Xbox Live Gold membership, on the other hand, can download Rayman Legends and IDARB for free all month long.

BioShock Infinite was originally released for consoles and PC two years ago this month. The game has shipped around 7 million copies to date, while Irrational Games effectively shut down in February 2014.

Though no new games in the series have been announced, development on the BioShock franchise is now being led by 2K Games in Marin, California. According to Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of 2K Games parent company Take-Two, the BioShock series has not yet reached its critical or commercial potential.
