Black Adam movie merchandise is out already. One of the sources of Black Adam stuff is Funko, with their Funko Pop line. I became aware of this assortment with their official released pictures.

I was shocked to find out this week that product was already in stores! My local collectibles stop, the Toy Vault, posted a picture of various Funko Pops that had arrived to their facebook page. There, in the corner, was Hawkman. So I made a quick trip to pick him up.

Hawkman is one of those DC Comics characters that usually eventually gets made in a line. Those wings and his long history make him a good choice. This is the 3rd or 4th time Funko has made a Funko Pop of Hawkman.

They did a comic version early on. Then we got a version from his appearances in Legends of Tomorrow. Did I say appearances. I guess, but the character died so quick his membership on the team is barely a blip on their 7 season show. So I was too late for the first one and really, Hawkgirl was the Hawk star of Legends, so I picked her up instead. Since I am collecting mostly TV and movie versions of mostly Marvel and DC characters, I was eager to check this one out.  I think he goes better with Justice League Movie Superman than Legends of Tomorrow TV Hawkgirl.

Now you are thinking, why did he buy only Hawkman, where is the rest of the assortment? Two reasons. Reason 1. Check out these alternate exclusive versions. The Amazon version of Black Adam has glow in the dark features. For the same price, its an easy choice.

I guess I could buy all of my Funko Pops on line, from Amazon or even directly from Funko, but I really like going to collectible stores and looking around and seeing them in person first.  I also know that if I buy there it helps pay for rent and employees. Reason 2. Hawkman was the only piece from the line the store got in with that shipment. They do have a discount price, 12$ instead of 12.99 if you buy 2 or more, so of course I bought a second Funko Pop. The identity of that purchase is for another time.
