 Sales of a new World of Warcraft pet will benefit the American Red Cross in its Ebola relief efforts in West Africa, Blizzard has announced. Argi, a cute little ram-like creature, will "help guide you through the savage lands of Draenor, climbing, swimming, and running wherever you go," Blizzard said. She'll go on sale via the Battle.net Shop starting December 3—just in time for the Winter Veil event—for $10 in the United States (pricing varies by region), and will be available until December 31. 100 percent of the proceeds will donated to the American Red Cross. This isn't the first time that Blizzard donated the sales of a World of Warcraft pet to charity. Last year, players could purchase the Alterac Brew Pup pet for $10, half of which went to Make-A-Wish, a United States-based charity that grants wishes to children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. In October, Blizzard announced that World of Warcraft subscriber figures had rebounded from 6.8 million to 7.4 million, due in part to increased interest in the game ahead of expansion Warlords of Draenor's release on November 13. It is the game's fifth expansion.
