Steven Tyler announces his departure from 'American Idol.'
+ Aerosmith's Steven Tyler announced in a statement yesterday that he's leaving his "American Idol" judging job to get back to his first love. "I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I'm back -- but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I got two fists in the air and I'm kicking the door open with my band," he said. (MTV News)

+ Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson announce a co-headlining tour dubbed "Twins of Evil" tour, and it has no relation to spinning bras. It kicks off Sept. 28 in Phoenix and ends Dec. 12 in Bologna, Italy. Those in Dallas can get extra spooky when the tour hits their town on Halloween. (Billboard)
