Steven Tyler announces his departure from 'American Idol.'

+ Aerosmith's Steven Tyler announced in a statement yesterday that he's leaving his "American Idol" judging job to get back to his first love. "I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I'm back -- but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I got two fists in the air and I'm kicking the door open with my band," he said. + Will Jennifer Lopez soon follow Steven Tyler out the "American Idol" door? She told "Today" that she's still on the fence, "But I am thinking that maybe it's time for me to go and do other things that I really love to do." (MTV News)

+ Can a bra be dangerous? If it's Katy Perry's spinning peppermint bra, then insurers think so. She said they're worried as her hair gets caught in the sparkly wheels. "I keep being told the insurers are worried that I will injure my neck." (Billboard)

+ Taylor Swift just topped Forbes' list of Highest Paid Celebrities Under 30 with $57 million made over the course of the last year. Justin Bieber was not far behind with $55 million. Either way, neither have to eat fast food ever again. (MTV News)

Ne-Yo has announced the release date for his fifth album. It will hit Sept. 18. Entitled R.E.D., it stands for Realizing Every Dream and it will be his first effort for Motown Records. (Billboard)

+ "Glee" star Kevin McHale will join Demi Lovato in hosting the Teen Choice Awards. "Glee" and two of its cast members are up for three awards total, while Demi's up for Choice Twit. The show airs July 22 on Fox. (MTV News)

+ Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson announce a co-headlining tour dubbed "Twins of Evil" tour, and it has no relation to spinning bras. It kicks off Sept. 28 in Phoenix and ends Dec. 12 in Bologna, Italy. Those in Dallas can get extra spooky when the tour hits their town on Halloween. (Billboard)
