Looking back at the year in pop music, we're kinda overwhelmed by just how many major moments there were in pop -- everything from K-Pop viral videos to Rihanna "777" airplane anarchy! But you know we're all about rehashing the past -- especially when we can do it in GIF form. (That's how things look in our imaginations, anyway.)

So we got to work creating a comprehensive collection of GIFs that sum up the year in pop music: There's Rihanna "SHAYNING bright" in her stunning "Diamonds" video, Nicki Minaj grinding against Justin Bieber in their "Beauty And A Beat" video, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus (and Rihanna!) going overboard with cake consumption (honestly, when did cake become a thing??), Harry Styles getting borderline inapprops with an inflatable banana in One Direction's "Live While We're Young" video, Psy's now-famous "Gangnam Style," aka the horsey dance heard 'round the world, and so much more.

We learned to lasso imaginary ponies with Psy's "Gangnam Style."

We'll always love you, Whitney Houston! Rest in peace.

Nicki Minaj got SUPER friendly with Cassie in their "The Boys" video... so close that if we smoked, we'd need a cigarette after.

Miley Cyrus went a lil' cake crazy in Bogore's "Decisions" video.

Ke$ha straight up joined the Illuminati in her cultish "Die Young" video.

2 Chainz threw a birthday party with Kanye West, and told us EXACTLY what kind of gift he wanted (of the large tush variety).

Christina Aguilera fanned herself constantly as a coach on "The Voice."

Justin Bieber told us EXACTLY what he'd do if he were our "Boyfriend." (ROWR)

Taylor Swift partied with a crew of furries in her "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" video.

Harry Styles had a perfect inflatable banana moment on the set of 1D's "Live While We're Young" video.

We gawked at Nicki Minaj's glam shots, haute couture outfits, and stunning hair in her "Freedom" video.

Carly Rae Jepsen implored her crush to pick up the phone (ie. NOT TEXT!) in "Call Me Maybe," the catchiest song EVAR.
