Combat shield users in Call of Duty: Vanguard rejoice: the game's latest update now makes it so stowed combat shields will offer some backside protection against incoming fire. Although full patch notes for the new November 10 update have not been released, Sledgehammer Games has provided an overview of some highlights via Twitter. Players quickly noticed shields were not offering protection following the game's launch, although it was unclear if it was an intentional decision on developer Sledgehammer Games' part or a bug. Regardless, combat shield users will now be a little harder to take down when being shot from behind.
It's just one of the changes deployed in a new update for Call of Duty: Vanguard, as detailed by the official Sledgehammer Games Twitter account. Other adjustments in the update include performance improvements, various bug fixes (including weapon progression bugs), and more.
