Marvel’s Captain America and Siemens Healthcare joined forces on May 31, 2012, at the 18th Annual Training Conference for the National Association of Drug Court Professionals, NADCP, which addressed the topics of addictions, mental health and the criminal justice system. The NADCP’s conference has a wide variety of attendees which include state and federal justice leaders, celebrities, judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, clinicians, police and probation officers, military veterans, business owners, Drug Court graduates and their family members.
Siemens Healthcare uses Syva EMIT technology for high quality results for their drug screenings, currently the only urine drug screening technology upheld by the Supreme Court. Syva, now a part of Siemens, stands as a key figure in the development and manufacturing of therapeutic drug monitoring. Siemens has committed to helping solve the many problems Americans face today, such as hiring over 700 veterans in its Joining Forces program.
Captain America spoke at the opening ceremony for the conference and congratulated the attendees on behalf of Marvel and Siemens for the altruistic work they perform.
“It takes the courage and strength of a warrior to ask for help, and a nation to stand together to answer the call,” said Captain America. The First Avenger then met with and greeted all his fans at the event.
Marvel and Siemens have begun work on a new project that will be revealed at the American Association of Clinical Chemistry event in July. Keep your eyes peeled as there will be a special appearance by Iron Man!
