One of Activision's E3 surprises may have been spoiled. PureXbox has obtained screenshots for a new Transformers "brawler" game called Transformers: Devastation, which will reportedly be announced at the big-time industry event next week in Los Angeles. The leaked Devastation screenshots reveal it will have cel-shaded graphics, which is a pretty striking departure from last year's Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark. No developer was named in the report. As for platforms, the site mentions Xbox 360 and Xbox One. But bear in mind that PureXbox is an Xbox site, and that recent Transformers titles were multiplatform games. The site also points out that the Devastation images bear a resemblance to Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance developer Platinum Games' recent Legend of Korra title. Could Devastation be Platinum's mysterious E3 announcement? It's too early to say, but with E3 right around the corner, we may soon find out. E3 kicks off Sunday evening with Bethesda's briefing and runs all week. We'll have complete coverage of the event at our dedicated E3 page.
