Following its Assassin's Creed Unity animated short last year from Rob Zombie, Ubisoft has published a new animated short for this year's entry in the series, Assassin's Creed Syndicate. The video, which you can watch below, was directed by Straight Outta Compton and The Italian Job director F. Gary Gray. It features illustrations by Pop Mhan, who has worked on numerous He-Man and Gears of War comics. It's a visually stunning video that looks like a comic book brought to life. It sets up the story for Syndicate, introducing you to the game's Victorian London setting and main characters, twins Jacob and Evie Frye. For more on how the Syndicate animated short came to be, check out this behind-the-scenes video, which features insight from Gray, Mhan, and other people involved in its creative direction. The Syndicate release date is locked in for October 23 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with a PC version to follow later. The game is not coming to Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, as Ubisoft is leaving those systems behind.
