The Bard's Tale IV Kickstarter campaign is nearing its end, and developer inXile has released a new trailer to advertise the game that looks like a TV infomercial. Although it doesn't show much of the upcoming RPG, the trailer is notable for its direct response to the common practice of releasing several DLC packs quickly after a game's release. It goes on to lay out all the reasons why people should back its Kickstarter. At the beginning of the trailer, the narrator says, "Are you tired of buying supposedly complete computer games just to find that you've got to buy a bunch of extra add-ons just to enjoy them? Well, here at inXile we do things differently." The game's Kickstarter currently sits at $1.44 million with 56 hours left. It has already crossed its goal, and the next stretch goals involve RPG designers making new dungeons for the game. The developer also recently announced that donating to the Kickstarter at the $20 tier or higher will also get you the first three Bard's Tale games, in addition to a copy of The Bard's Tale IV. This is inXile's third successful Kickstarter campaign in a row. The studio has already released Wasteland 2 and is currently working on Torment: Tides of Numenera.
