“The dreams that you wish will come true.” In honor of the timeless classic CINDERELLA‘s upcoming 70^th anniversary and induction into the National Film Registry, Walt Disney Studios and the Library of Congress celebrated the film that taught us to “have faith in your dreams” with a fun-filled night on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the Library of Congress which included a screening, presentation and VIP Ball. The magical evening included a special screening of the film and a special appearance by Cinderella herself, who descended the Library of Congress stairs to join the festivities.

Dr. Carla Hayden, 14th Librarian of Congress, presented the film’s official certificate that inducted CINDERELLA into the National Film Registry to Mary Walsh, Managing Director of the Animation Research Library at Walt Disney Animation Studios.  Attendees included members of Congress, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington and other notable D.C. area tastemakers and influencers.
