Madden 21 is finally bringing back Colin Kaepernick after years of not being included in the NFL simulation. The former 49ers quarterback hasn't been part of the game since 2016.
"Colin Kaepernick is one of the top free agents in football and a starting-caliber quarterback," read a tweet from the official Madden account. "The team at EA sports, along with millions of Madden NFL fans want to see him back in our game. We've had a long relationship with Colin through Madden NFL and worked through our past soundtrack mistakes." Kaepernick's character wasn't the only thing that's been removed from Madden. His name was edited out of two songs, "Bars Of Soap" by Mike WiLL Made-It and "Big Bank" by YG, within the game in 2018. EA Sports said the removal of his name from the songs was a mistake.
