Sculptor David Silva, founder of Creative Beasts Studio, gave fans an update on his upcoming Beasts of the Mesozoic: Raptor Series Kickstarter campaign that should be starting later this month:

Lately I’ve been receiving a great amount of interest for the Beasts of the Mesozoic: Raptor series action figures that I’m currently developing and just I want to thank you all very much for the encouraging support thus far for the project. It seems a bit overwhelming at times to turn this into a success considering all that is involved, but with the help of people like my moldmaker Jeremy Monz, and my package illustrator Jonathan Kuo as well as the many friends and fans offering their encouragement, I do feel like this will be a reality before long.
Inevitably, reaching this many people leads to questions about what to expect, so I will attempt to answer those here:

-Beasts of the Mesozoic: Raptor Series Kickstarter campaign is planned for April 27th, 2016

-Each figure will be 1/6th scale (around 12” long) and include a base, posing stand, and one set of alternate toes

-Campaign will begin with three figures: Velociraptor, Atrcoiraptor, and Tsaagan

-There will be seven stretch goal raptor figures, and one possible Kickstarter exclusive variant (possible 10-11 raptor figures)

-Additional stretch goals include: an art book, exclusive package art prints, and one unannounced item

-Early estimated costs are $30-$40 per figure (final costs are not in as of yet)

-International shipping will be available

-Alternate paypal method contribution will be offered via my web site during the campaign

– there are no plans for featherless/ Jurassic Park style raptors

If you wish to follow the project, I have been keeping an archive of all of the work thus far and I post regular updates on my Creative Beast Studio page to this album here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/…

Thank you all again for your support. Great progress has been made, but there’s still plenty left to do!
