When Demi Lovato isn't busy being our personal idol, going out in public without makeup like NBD, hanging with A-list celebs, and basically DOMINATING as a pop star princess, she's actually a real-life hero who accepts awards from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration! Oh, and that's not only the only reason Demi's beaming with pure happiness -- her entire self is illuminated by her new blonde hair color! Sooo basically this photo is just ANOTHER friendly reminder that Demi is still winning at EVERYTHING in life.

The "Made In The USA" singer attended the 2013 National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day in Washington, D.C., and even shared her thoughts on the honor via Twitter: "Honored to receive an award from @Sebelius + appear w/5 brave ppl sharing their resilience stories: http://1.usa.gov/gm15gh  #HeroesofHope. Demi also spoke to the attendees about her personal struggles with addiction, and proudly expressed herself as a "survivor of mental health." We're just SO happy that Demi is happy and healthy and is using her own experiences to inspire others to live their #bestlife! Now, please excuse us while we add this award to our list of reasons of why we think Demi Lovato should be the next Oprah.
