Overcoming "Deflate-gate," The New England Patriots will defeat the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 in a nail-biter this coming weekend to win Super Bowl XLIX, according to EA Sports' annual Madden NFL Super Bowl Prediction. Just as real-world analysts are saying, the Madden simulation predicts a tightly contested game. Ultimately, Tom Brady and the Patriots will secure the victory in the game's final drive, according to the prediction. Here's how the Madden simulation sees things going down in the final seconds: "In the waning seconds Tom Brady hooked up with Julian Edelman, who managed to slip out of a tackle and make a break for the end zone. Kam Chancellor sprinted toward Edelman to try and make a Super Bowl-saving tackle, but the speedy Edelman dove into the Promised Land as time expired, securing victory." Brady wins his fourth Super Bowl title and is named MVP of the game for his 335-yard, four-touchdown performance, according to the simulation. This year's Super Bowl simulation was conducted on Xbox One using the latest available rosters and player data. You can see how the simulation played out in the video above. Madden Super Bowl predictions have an impressive track record of correctly picking winners. Though the simulation picked the wrong team last year to win it all, before that, the simulation had accurately predicted eight of the past ten winners. Super Bowl XLIX will be held Sunday, February 1 in Glendale, Arizona. There will even be a Pac-Man commercial. Got a news tip or want to contact us directly? Email news@gamespot.com
