Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, James Remar, To Appear At Wizard World Cleveland, St. Louis; Jaime Murray (Cleveland) and Christian Camargo (St. Louis) To Also Attend
LOS ANGELES, November 14, 2016 – Fans will have a “killer day” when Michael C. Hall (Dexter Morgan), Jennifer Carpenter (Debra Morgan), James Remar (Harry Morgan), Jaime Murray (Lila Tournay), and Christian Camargo (Rudy Cooper), from the Emmy nominated hit TV series “Dexter,” reunite for the first time during the world’s largest pop culture tour at Wizard World Comic Con Cleveland and St. Louis in 2017.
The group will greet fans, sign autographs, pose for solo and dual photo ops and conduct an interactive Q&A panel, in their first Wizard World appearance together. In both cities, Hall and Carpenter will appear Saturday and Sunday (March 18-19; April 8-9) and Remar will attend Friday through Sunday; Murray will appear only in Cleveland Saturday and Sunday (March 18-19); Camargo will attend in St. Louis Saturday and Sunday (April 8-9).
Hall most recently starred as Thomas Newton in the New York Theatre Workshop production of “Lazarus” (Drama Desk, Drama League, Lucille Lortel award nominations) by David Bowie & Enda Walsh, directed by Ivo van Hove and inspired by the novel The Man Who Fell to Earth by Walter Tevis. The musical will start previews on October 25 and runs through January 22 at King’s Cross Theater in London. His television credits include “Dexter” (SAG, Golden Globe awards; five Emmy nominations) and “Six Feet Under” (two SAG ensemble awards, Emmy nomination). On film, Hall co-starred in Jim Mickle’s Cold in July and John Krokidas’ Kill Your Darlings. He will next be seen in Antonio Campos’ Christine (which premiered in Dramatic Competition at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival) with Rebecca Hall. He is currently shooting Peter Landesman’s Felt, a political thriller about Watergate, told from the vantage point of Deep Throat. Hall plays White House Counsel John Dean.
Carpenter is most known for her role as ‘Debra Morgan’ in Showtime’s highly successful, critically acclaimed series, “Dexter,” which has received Emmy®, SAG, Golden Globe and People’s Choice Award nominations. The actress recently wrapped the CBS series, “Limitless”, in which she stars as ‘Agent Rebecca Harris,’ a dynamic investigator who teams up with an unlikely counterpart under the influence of a new underground mentally-enhancing drug to solve cases for the FBI. The actress is currently in production for the independent feature “Brawl in Cell Block 99,” in which she plays the wife in a struggling marriage to Vince Vaughn.
Remar, a rugged, intense character player who was featured in such films as the 1979 hit The Warriors and five years later The Cotton Club. In a career spanning nearly four decades, James has run the gamut of roles and solid career choices. Ranging from 48 Hrs. to “Sex and the City” to Boys on the Side , Remar has more than 150 movie and TV credits, most recently in a supporting role in the series “State of Affairs.”
Murray is an English actress, known for playing Stacie Monroe in the BBC series “Hustle” and Lila West in the Showtime series “Dexter.” She is also known for her recurring roles as Gaia in the Starz miniseries “Spartacus: Gods of the Arena,” as Olivia Charles in The CW series ”Ringer,” and as Helena G. Wells in the Syfy series “Warehouse 13.” Most recently she portrayed the character of Stahma Tarr in the Syfy series “Defiance,” which aired its final episode in August, 2015 and was seen in a guest role on Fox’s “Sleepy Hollow” series in 2015 as well. Murray can next be seen in a lead role in the upcoming film, The Rapture . Also an accomplished and sought after model, Murray has modeled clothing in television advertisements for Debenhams department store. She is signed to Models 1 in London and has appeared in men’s magazines such as GQ, Mayfair, and FHM, as well as women’s magazines such as Hello!, Cosmopolitan, and OK!.
Camargo was most recently seen as Eva Green’s love interest, the immortal Dracula, on the Showtime series “Penny Dreadful.” He recently concluded a run playing the titular role in “Pericles” at The Polonsky Shakespeare Center, directed by Trevor Nunn. His film credits include Kathryn Bigelow’s Academy Award winning film “The Hurt Locker,” “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Parts 1 & 2” with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattison and Walt Disney Pictures “National Treasure: Book of Secrets.” His extensive television credits comprise of memorable recurring roles including the Netflix series “House of Cards” and Showtime’s “Dexter”. Christian’s numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway Theatre credits are also impressive, having performed in “Romeo and Juliet” at the Richard Rogers Theatre, directed by David Leveaux; “The Tempest” and “As You Like It” at the Brooklyn Academy of Music as directed by Sam Mendes; and an award-winning turn as “Hamlet” in the production by the Theatre for a New Audience, directed by David Esbjornson.
