The US government on Wednesday declassified hundreds of documents found in Osama Bin Laden's Abbottabad compound following SEAL Team Six's 2011 raid. Among the documents are a few surprises, one of which is that someone in his compound possibly played Delta Force Xtreme 2 and read GameSpot. A screenshot of 2009's Delta Force Xtreme 2No, really. Under the section "Documents Probably Used by Other Compound Residents," there are two video game entries. They are: - Delta Force Extreme 2 [sic] Videogame Guide
- Game Spot [sic] Videogame Guide
There's no indication that Bin Laden or anyone in his compound studied the game--named after the famous Army special ops team--to learn its tactics. And, again, these are documents believed to have been read by someone other than Bin Laden. You can see all the documents recovered from Bin Laden's compound--which includes materials about suicide-prevention and even the Illuminati--at the US government's "Bin Laden's Bookshelf" page.
