Last night I attended an event hosted by Disney Infinity, promoting the new Inside Out Playset for the 3.0 version of the game. The video game presentation was followed by a screening of the movie (which is fantastic). The event was held at the majestic El Capitan theater on Hollywood Blvd.

On arrival we had the opportunity to play the game and check out the figures.
The game looks very fun and I liked what I saw of the 2D/3D platformer hybrid.
Once we got to our seats we were treated to a brief presentation touting the Playsets featured in 3.0 (there’s a Marvel game that has not been fully announced).
Then we were given some more information on the Inside Out Playset.
Followed by a brief trailer of the game as seen below:
After the event we were all given the Inside Out Playset that comes with figures for Joy and Anger, as well as the Playset piece that unlocks the Inside Out game on the disc.
The packaging is standard for Disney Infinity Playsets, the black/purple color scheme represents the Disney themed content for the 3.0 cycle.
The figures themselves are great, wonderfully crafted and designed, on model for the film yet distinct to match the Infinity style.
My favorite figure of the two is Anger and was a figure I was looking forward to.
His angular design makes him stand out and I enjoy his outfit. He looks like a grizzled cop.
Joy is a great figure too, she has a dynamic and movie accurate pose.
The details on her dress are great and the paint applications spot-on. Even down to her rosey cheeks.
Both figures have openings on their bases to allow the colored memory balls to glow when illuminated from the Disney Infinity base during game play.
Overall I really dig these figures, I’m happy to add them to my collection and play with them when the game launches this fall.
These pictures compare the figures to characters they remind me of:
I’m excited for all the 3.0 offerings so far, hope E3 brings us more exciting news…
