Learn how Drake "Started From The Bottom" in his brand-new video.
Drake must be feeling pretty good right now, no? Fresh off his Best Rap Album win at the 2013 Grammy Awards, he's just unveiled the video for "Started From the Bottom," the first single off his forthcoming third album, Nothing Was The Same. The video depicts young Drizzy's climb to the top from the days when a Grammy Award probably wasn't even a distant dream (no mention of his "Degrassi" career, unfortunately).

Drake's latest clip is a fictionalized retelling of the road he took "from the bottom," including a soccer game (he scores a goal!) and a job at a drugstore (he's promoted to manager!), all the way up to present day, where he's riding in a baller convertible and flying a private jet. Is there anything he can't do? Maybe teach his buddies how to spit game?
How much of it is reaaaaalll, though? Well, it's close enough in spirit, although we're going to want to see the score-keeping records from his youth soccer league before we can verify his skills. The important thing, though, is Drake came up from nowhere, as he pointed out when he released the song earlier this week. "I feel sometimes that people don't have enough information about my beginnings and therefore they make up a life story for me that isn't consistent with actual events," he wrote on his blog. "My family and my second family (consisting of the best friends anybody could ever have) all struggled and worked extremely hard to make all this happen."
It's all definitely happening -- except for that business with the convertible perhaps, because that looked a little bit exaggerated.
