1. Cassie Cage
Mortal Kombat's about to deliver a fatal knockout to the fighting scene. Which brawler are you gonna main? The first of the confirmed characters in our list is newcomer Cassie, Johnny Cage's own daughter. 2. D’Vorah
D'Vorah's another fighter new to the Mortal Kombat universe. She's got creepy insect like features and is a servant of the Outworld's new emperor Kotal Kahn. 3. Ermac
This red-cloaked ninja's been around since Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. We're glad to see him return for MK X, with some particularly nasty fatalities at his disposal. 4. Erron Black
Erron Black's an ultra-violent gunslinger who was introduced in the Mortal Kombat comic series, but this is the first time he'll be a playable character. 5. Ferra & Torr
This is an exciting combo character. Ferra rides on top of her brute Torr, and together they smash skulls and bisect torsos with ferocious conviction. 6. Goro
Goro was sequestered away in the Challenge Tower in the last major Mortal Kombat release, so we can't wait to get our hands on the infamous sub-boss this time around. Goro is only playable as a pre-order bonus. 7. Jacqueline Briggs
This Mortal Kombat's a family affair, with Jackson Briggs' daughter joining the fray too. Just imagining father-daughter fatalities makes us queasy though. 8. Jason Vorhees
Following in Freddy Krueger's vaudevillian footsteps, Jason's another horror film legend entering the Mortal Kombat universe. Jason is included in the Kombat Pack DLC. Jackson Briggs
Everyone's favorite arm-ripping cyber-soldier has returned to the ring to inflict massive amounts of pain. 10. Johnny Cage
The only thing bigger than his ego is his string of unstoppable combos. The hollywood hotshot has his whole family in tow this time, including his daughter and his ex-wife. 11. Kano
Kano quite literally stole our hearts when he debuted in the original Mortal Kombat. The Black Dragon clan mercenary has a major chip on his shoulders after Jax disfigured his face. 12. Kenshi
You'd have to be blind to not notice how stylish this sword-wielding warrior looks. His telekinesis skills make him a formidable opponent. 13. Kitana
A literal fan favorite since Mortal Kombat II, Kitana packs 10,000 years of wisdom into her steel fan flavored martial arts. 14. Kotal Kahn
Kotal Kahn's a mysterious new fighter with headgear highly reminiscent of the Aztec Empire. He also has glowing tattoos, which harken back to his days of being awesome. 15. Kung Jin
Kung Jin's another new fighter cloaked in mystery. We do know he appears to be teamed up with Cassie Cage and Jacqueline Briggs. We also know he's way more deadly with is bow and arrow than Katniss or Lara Croft. 16. Kung Lao
Hats off to this Shaolin monk for making a comeback. We'd really love Oddjob from the Bond series to make a DLC appearance so we could have a razor-brimmed showdown. 17. Liu Kang
You knew he was coming. Even though it took a while for him to get announced, Liu Kang's practically the face of the entire franchise. There was no way he wouldn't make an appearance. 18. Mileena
Kitana's evil twin has one of the most gnarly grills we've ever seen in a fighting game, or otherwise. With duel sai, she doesn't even need those vicious fangs to rip you to shreds. 19. Quan Chi
This powerful necromancer has always borne a striking resemblance to his successor in style, God of War's Kratos. This evil fella has remained a prominent villain of the Mortal Kombat franchise. 20. Raiden
It's always big trouble in little China when Raiden arrives. This Elder God has an easy time toying with us mere mortals. 21. Reptile
When Reptile first appeared, he was a secret hidden in the depths of the original Mortal Kombat arcade game. Like any reptile worth his bath salts, he knows how to remain invisible. 22. Scorpion
You'd think by now the ghost of Scorpion would have claimed vengeance for his dead family. But there's always an endless parade of foes to spear and toast, preventing his soul from ever resting. 23. Shinnok
Shinnok might be the most evil character in the Mortal Kombat universe, which is saying something when you take a look at the bloodthirsty crew he accompanies. Shinnok becomes available after you complete the story mode. 24. Sonya
Sonya's another series standby who's been here since the beginning of the franchise. Her biggest mistake might have been marrying that jerk Johnny Cage, but her special forces training helps her stand on her own. 25. Sub-Zero
Technically the man who occupies the Sub-Zero outfit these days is the younger brother of the original Sub-Zero. But he's still got the chilly demeanor and brutal finishing moves of his predecessor. 26. Takashi Takeda
Rounding out our collection of feuding families, Takashi is the son of the blind assassin Kenshi. This will be his first appearance in a Mortal Kombat game. 27. Tremor, Tanya, and Predator
A trio of DLC characters joins Jason in the Kombat Pack. Tremor made a brief appearance in MK on the Vita, Tanya's a cult member hailing from MK 4, and Predator is the third horror movie icon to appear in the franchise!
