The Women-Led Games Showcase kicked off with an hour-long livestream of 22 games coming to PC and consoles. Each one of the games comes from a women-led games studio, and most are targeting a 2024 release window. From the Hollow Knight-looking Aestik and the Japanese countryside-set farming sim Sunnyside to the very creepy-looking Darkwebstreamer and the vampire adventure game Cabernet, we've compiled all the games shown off during the showcase below. This livestream is only the first part of the three-day showcase. On March 9, the Women-Led Games Showcase will stream developer deep-dive interviews. Then, on March 10, the showcase will host a series of panels that go into building gaming PCs, maintaining mental wellness in content creation, and establishing oneself as a content creator. You can watch the Women-Led Games Showcase on Twitch. Reigns Beyond
The fourth game in the Reigns series steps away from fantasy and goes sci-fi, allowing you to craft your own soap opera aboard a busy space station. Like previous games, the story plays out via an assortment of yes and no decisions, each of which can have unforeseen and far-reaching consequences. The game is already available on Apple Arcade but is coming to Switch and PC in 2024. Aestik
Aestik looks a whole lot like Hollow Knight, and in a day and age where Silksong still eludes us, having a cool-looking hand-drawn metroidvania with great music on its way helps dull that pain. Aestik incorporates choice-driven mechanics into its story, creating a branching narrative. The game is scheduled to come out in 2024 for Switch and PC. You can try out Aestik right now via a free demo on Steam. Kristala
Kristala is a Souls-like that incorporates mechanics and features that look eerily similar to Dark Souls and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The major difference is that Kristala sees you play as a bipedal cat person. The game is set to launch in 2025 for Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. If you're looking to try the game out early, it's set to launch in Steam Early Access in Q4 2024. Merchants Of Rosewall
In case you missed our earlier coverage of Merchants of Rosewall's announcement trailer, that same trailer appeared again during the Women-led Games Showcase. The game is scheduled to launch for PC in Q3 2024. You can wishlist Merchants of Rosewall on Steam. Sunnyside
Sunnyside looks incredible--it's a farming sim set in the Japanese countryside that incorporates visual novel elements to flesh out its character-driven story. Featuring 29 unique character stories that range from comedic to tragic, turn-based combat, and a beautiful setting, Sunnyside looks like the type of game you could sink multiple playthroughs into. The game's release window is yet to be announced but the trailer says it is "coming soon." You can try out Sunnyside right now via a free demo on Steam. Woodside
Woodside sees you navigate a very dark house in which you must explore, investigate, and survive. The trailer is pretty creepy--not the creepiest from the showcase, but it's up there. The game's release date has yet to be announced, but we do know that Woodside is coming to PC. You can wishlist Woodside on Steam. Bubblegum Galaxy
Bubblegum Galaxy looks like a charming galaxy builder in which you work for a company responsible for restoring planets. As you reconstruct solar systems tile-by-tile and attract new stars, you'll unlock new types of planets to diversify your growing galaxy, all to appease your cat-faced managers. You'll also need to uncover who's responsible for deleting the galaxy in the first place! No news yet on when Bubblegum Galaxy is coming out, but we do know it will be launching on PC. You can try out Bubblegum Galaxy right now via a free demo on Steam. Grimoire Groves
Grimoire Groves has big Ooblets and Pikman vibes, in that you lead a small army of creatures that you grow yourself. A roguelite dungeon crawler, Grimoire Groves has you play as a witch learning to craft new spells and items in an attempt to restore her forest. Grimoire Groves is coming to PC at some point. You can try out Grimoire Groves right now via a free demo on Steam. The Heirloom
The Heirloom looks right up my alley. Between the creepy old lighthouse setting, unexplainable supernatural happenings, choice-driven story, and hand-drawn graphics, I'm getting major Oxenfree vibes. The game has shot to close to the top of my most-anticipated list--I think this was the standout for the showcase. The Heirloom is coming to Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in October. Critter Crops
Critter Crops sees you play as a new witch who must figure out why she woke up in the middle of the woods and what happened to all the magic. An isometric life sim, you'll collect magical monsters, go mining, do some fishing, and meet and befriend other witches. The game is set to launch for PC on April 15. You can try out Critter Crops right now via a free demo on Steam. Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge
Sometimes the title of a game tells you exactly what you're getting--Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge sees you take over a frog refuge where you take care of a wide diversity of adorable frogs. The game is set to launch in mid-2024. You can try out Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge right now via a free demo on Steam. Tiny Glade
In Tiny Glade, you construct settlements, homes, and castles within a small glade hidden in the woods. The game is set to launch in Q3 2024. You can wishlist Tiny Glade on Steam. Projected Dreams
In Projected Dreams, you arrange items in a bedroom to create shadows that match the silhouettes on the wall. In doing so, your shadow art tells a story. The game is set to launch for PC. You can try out Projected Dreams right now via a free demo on Steam. Momento
Similar to Unpacking, Momento sees you unpacking and organizing the items you collected in your life. Depending on what you choose to make room for with every move dictates where your life goes next, creating a branching narrative where your life can end up in a lot of different places--even a space station! The game doesn't have a release window yet but we at least know it's set to launch for PC. You can wishlist Momento on Steam. Awkward 2
Building on the original game, Awkward 2 is a party game that you and your friends and family can all play on your phones together. The crux of the game is that players have to answer a bunch of awkward questions that you probably wouldn't around people you're close to so that you can really test the strength of your relationships. The game is set to launch in Q2 2024 for Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. You can try Awkward 2 right now via a free demo on Steam. Go-Go Town
In Go-Go Town, you're the newest mayor of a terrible and completely rundown town and have to slowly put everything back together. You can go it alone or enlist up to three friends in co-op play. The game is scheduled to launch in 2024. You can try Go-Go Town right now via a free demo on Steam. Darkwebstreamer
This was the creepiest game of the showcase. As the name implies, this game sees you playing as a livestreamer who exclusively shares content they find on the dark web. Set during the '90s and utilizing a procedurally generated world, you have to explore the darkest corners of the internet. Your search will bring you into contact with both material and supernatural threats, leaving you to grapple with superfans, stalkers, hauntings, and living nightmares. And if you mess up, you'll die. No release window for this game yet, but it will be launching on PC and is "coming soon." You can wishlist Darkwebstreamer on Steam. Cabernet
Cabernet is already one of my most anticipated games of the year and the showcase didn't reveal anything we didn't already know. That said, if this vampire-themed, choice-driven adventure game isn't on your list of games to play, you need to rectify that immediately. The game is coming to PC in early 2024. You can try out Cabernet right now via a free demo on Steam. Gourdlets
A city-builder sandbox, Gourdlets sees you build small towns and then wait and watch for little fruit people to come to visit you. The game features no objectives--it's just relaxing city-builder vibes. If you want your friends to help you out, they can in four-player co-op. Gourdlets is coming to PC in 2024. You can try out Gourdlets right now via a free demo on Steam. Lost Twins 2
A puzzle platformer, Lost Twins 2 sees you play in a Miyazaki-inspired world as both Abi and Ben, two kids just trying to get home. As you control both protagonists, you'll have to use careful spatial awareness to solve puzzles and progress. The game is set to launch in 2024 for PC. You can try out Lost Twins 2 right now via a free demo on Steam. Ova Magica
Ova Magica sees you create a character, build a farm, and then collect and battle with little blob creatures. Like similar games, Ova Magica features changing seasons, events, a house to customize, and plenty of cute NPCs to smooch. The game is set to launch on Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2024. You can wishlist Ova Magica on Steam. Vasilisa And Baba Yaga
A creepy-looking adventure game based on a Russian folktale, Vasilisa and Baba Yaga will see you play as a young girl who must prove herself to the titular witch. Featuring a paper-looking art style akin to Pentiment or Inscryption, Vasilisa and Baba Yaga features combat, chase sequences, and stealth missions. The game is scheduled to launch for Switch and PC in Q2 2024. You can try out Vasilisa and Baba Yaga right now via a free demo on Steam.
