Nintendo Switch Online, the subscription service required to play most of the platform's games online, also comes with access to select games from the NES and SNES library. In the future, the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription will add Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games, as well, and the selection available has grown over time. Below, we've included a list of every game you can currently play via Nintendo Switch Online, as well as those announced for the Expansion Pack service. They're broken up by platform, and many have additional online features not found in the originals. Additionally, they all feature save states--many of the original NES and SNES games didn't allow for saving at all, much less saving at any point to return to later. The Expansion Pass will be available on October 25 and costs $50 for an individual plan and $80 for a family plan. Special controllers based on the Nintendo 64 and Genesis will be available, as well.
