Evolve’s Big Alpha Now Available on PS4

Evolve's Big Alpha is now available on PlayStation 4, according to the game's official Twitter account.

Additionally, the Big Alpha, which was supposed to end today, is extending testing on all platforms until November 4, 12 p.m. Pacific Time.

"Alpha tests analyze and troubleshoot unfinished products," 2K said in a statement. "While internal testing shows the majority of PS4 matches are completed successfully, some players will encounter interruptions and issues affecting the Evolve experience. We ask for your patience and participation as we rigorously test Evolve to ensure a successful launch on February 10, 2015."

After hitting Xbox One first on October 30, Evolve was supposed to launch on PC and PlayStation 4 on Friday, but has been delayed on the latter due to network difficulties.

In case you missed the news yesterday, if want to play the Big Alpha but don't have a code, you can still download and play the game if you own a copy of XCOM: Enemy Unknown on Steam. Just check your Steam library and it should be there.

To find out what the Big Alpha includes and if your PC can run it, check out developer Turtle Rock Studios' announcement from last week.

In Evolve, four players fight together to take down a fifth player, who takes on the role of a monster with unique (and deadly) attributes. The game was originally targeted to launch this year, but was delayed to February 10, 2015. Turtle Rock previously created the Left 4 Dead series.
