FIFA still holds off all newcomers, including Dishonored, Pokemon and XCOM; Fable: The Journey scrapes into the top 40 at number 37.
There's no stopping FIFA 13 on the UK all-formats games charts, which held onto the number one position for a third week running. The game dropped 63 per cent in sales compared to last week, but that was enough to hold off four other new entries in the top 10. Dishonored landed at number two, Pokemon Black Version 2 went in at three, Pokemon White Version 2 managed five, and XCOM: Enemy Unknown came in at seven.
Despite FIFA 13's dominance, publisher Bethesda managed to score the UK's biggest new intellectual property launch of the year so far with Dishonored, which outsold the previous title-holder Sleeping Dogs in its first week. Nintendo's two new Pokemon games also performed well, although Chart-Track notes that even if the sales of both games were combined, Dishonored would have still been at number two.
Last week's number two, Resident Evil 6, fell 78 per cent in sales on its second week, meaning it's now at number four. Conversely, Just Dance 4 actually managed to increase sales by 36 per cent on its second week, but the amount of competition means it also drops two places from number four to number six.
Further down the chart, WRC 3: FIA World Rally Championship arrived at number 27, while Microsoft's Kinect-only title Fable: The Journey just made it into the top 40 at number 37.
