More than 15 years after its initial release, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is getting a new edition--this time on 4K UHD Blu-ray. The 4K UHD version will include the additional footage added in the 2009 Blu-ray release, making this the definitive way to watch the animated follow-up to the classic Square Enix JRPG. Advent Children takes place two years after the events of Final Fantasy 7 and revolves around a mysterious disease that is running rampant. The disease has even afflicted Cloud Strife. If you've only played Final Fantasy VII Remake and don't know the whole story from the original game, you may want to hold off on watching Advent Children. The movie assumes you know all of the plot points from the game.
