Hajime Tabata has expressed interest in developing for Sony's handheld.
Final Fantasy Type-0 and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII director Hajime Tabata has expressed interest in developing specifically for Sony's latest handheld gaming platform, the PS Vita.
According to a retrospective interview on the PlayStation Awards 2012 page, Tabata said that he was impressed with the functionality of the touch screen.
"I had an impression [that] it was an exceedingly good piece of hardware. Since I [had been] making Final Fantasy titles on the PSP, I have an interest in [developing] for a larger device. As someone concerned with game production, there is nothing other than the Vita that offers that largeness, high density and luminescence, and ability to [render] high-quality images."
Final Fantasy Type-0 won the gold prize at last year's PlayStation Award ceremony. The PSP title has yet to be localised in North American and European markets. Fore more information, check out GameSpot's preview of the game.
