While there has been a lot of speculation following the announcement of Marty Abrams reviving the Mego Corporation, especially speculating what types of licenses he will return with, thus far there have not been any official announcements regarding licenses yet. However, over the weekend San Diego Comic Con International started releasing the schedule of programming and there’s an interesting announcement buried in the the test of the announcement of a Mego panel at SDCC 2018:

“The Return of Mego Featuring Joe Namath”

Marty Abrams, CEO of Mego Corp., speaks about the return of the world’s greatest toy company and welcomes football legend Joe Namath to autograph a very limited number of new Joe Namath 14-inch action figures exclusively at Comic-Con. Marty will also be introducing a new line of 8-inch and 14-inch licensed action figures.

Now we know our first license for Mego AND one of the early products.   We suspect there will be additional announcements made on the panel at SDCC 2018.
