Fortnite Map In Chapter 6 Season 1: All Map Changes And Landing Spots

Welcome to the new Fortnite Chapter 6 map. In Chapter 6, Season 1, Fortnite has moved away from its Mediterranean setting in favor of the Far East. Now, you'll embark on a new adventure on an island heavily inspired by Japanese architecture, culture, and mythology.

In this guide, we'll go over all the new landing spots, landmarks, and sights to see, which should prepare you for the future of the game. If tradition stays intact, this map will serve as the basis for the next year of Fortnite. It'll change a lot each season, and even within a season, but consider this--or something like it--your new Fortnite home for the next 12 months.

With that in mind, let's go over all the new hotspots you can hit up, the quiet nooks at which you can catch your breath, and all the chaos in between. Here's your rundown of the cherry blossom-powered new Fortnite Chapter 6 map.

Fortnite Chapter 6 map - Season 1 landing spots

At launch, the Fortnite Chapter 6 map in Season 1 will feature a whopping 18 named locations. Though you may see hints of past Fortnite islands here or there, each of these locales is brand-new to the game. You can see them all in the image here, or check the list below where we've written them all out for you from northwest to southeast.

  • Whiffy Wharf
  • Flooded Frogs
  • Magic Mosses
  • Demon's Dojo
  • Pumped Power
  • Twinkle Terrace
  • Lost Lake
  • Brutal Boxcars
  • Nightshift Forest
  • Foxy Floodgate
  • Shining Span
  • Burd
  • Warrior's Watch
  • Seaport City
  • Canyon Crossing
  • Masked Meadows
  • Shogun's Solitude
  • Hopeful Heights

Seaport City and Shining Span

The map this season blends ancient Japanese sights with modern marvels. This latter aspect is expressed well in this fancy bridge which acts as the main attraction within Shining Span.

Though Mega City isn't on the map, you'll likely find places around the new island that remind you of it.

The Great Turtle

One of this season's most intriguing sights is The Great Turtle, a living being who is said to be searching for their lost partner. How and when this turtle will move remains to be seen, but the teaser trailer does indicate they'll be mobile to some extent. Perhaps if this reptile is popular and evasive enough, it won't be long before you're dropping into the island screaming like Michael Scott: "Where are the turtles?!"

Shogun's Solitude

For those seeking a challenge, you can scale to the great heights of Shogun's Solitude where challenging NPC enemies await--and probably a few human rivals, too, right?

More to discover...

More like Ghost of Tsu-sheesh-ma. This game is beautiful.

With more named locations than usual and plenty of boss battles to be found, this season will have a ton of personality to it, and there's no telling just yet what will become the next Tilted Towers--though my money is on Seaport City. Where will you drop into Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1? Before you get there, be sure to check out the Chapter 6 Season 1 battle pass, new weapons, and everything new in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1.
