In Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, new weapons mean the playing field is once again being reset. Everyone from new players to seasoned vets will need to get up to speed with thew new guns, traversal items, healing supplies, and more they can add to their inventory in the months ahead. Because of that, we're going over all of those new options right here in our Fortnite weapons guide for Chapter 6 Season 1. Many of these items will persist throughout the year, while others will surely come and go and new favorites are introduced at the start of every new season. For now, here's what you can expect to notch your wins with when it comes to new Fortnite weapons. Fortnite Chapter 6 weapons list
First, let's go over a quick rundown of all the new and returning weapons you'll find in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1. In no specific order, here are the new guns: - Holo Twister Assault Rifle
- Fury Assault Rifle
- Veiled Precision SMG
- Surgefire SMG
- Sentinel Pump Shotgun
- Twinfire Auto Shotgun
- Oni Shotgun
There's no word, at least not while downtime is in effect, on whether any older weapons return to kick off this season. In addition to those firearms, a new take on the Kinetic Blade, the Typhoon Blade, is coming to the game. Keep scrolling for more info on that one. There's also another new item: Oni Masks. After the blade preview below, you'll find an explainer on Oni Masks. Pictured: The new Fortnite Chapter 6 guns Typhoon Blade
The Typhoon Blade is sure to be a new favorite this season as the latest in the game's long line of melee marvels. Though you don't lunge forward with this blade like you would the previous one, the Kinetic Blade, you can sprint longer and faster whenever you wield it, which will surely make it a popular item when racing the storm this season. This season is all about feeling like a Ronin, and the Typhoon Blade is the shortest route from beginner to legend in that regard. Oni Masks
Oni Masks, like the one shown on the character in red in this image, are another specialty being introduced this season. At launch, they come in two varieties: the Fire Oni Mask and the Void Oni Mask. As you can probably guess, the Fire Oni Mask lets you shoot fire projectiles at enemies. The more mysteriously named Void Oni Mask, meanwhile, lets you teleport over short distances. Will more Oni Masks be introduced later this season or chapter? It seems likely, though we can't say for sure yet. Sprites and Sprite Shrines
As seen in the background of this image, Sprites are like friendly little globs of fun who aid you in your adventures. They come in three types to start the season. Air Sprites can be thrown to create a wind vortex that sends you into the sky and lets you redeploy your glider. It can even launch vehicles and damage builds. Water Sprites are thrown to create a healing fountain that restores both your health and shields--and does the same for others nearby. Earth Sprites are the hungriest of the little fellas. They eat whatever you feed them and spit out rewards in exchange. You can also bring Sprites to Sprite Shrines where you can "revitalize" them and gain a nice benefit for yourself. These boons come in four types: The Fire Boon reloads your weapon faster. The Void Boon reveals nearby players whenever you eliminate one. The Wind Boon lets you move faster so long as your pickaxe is equipped. Lastly, the Water Boon heals the health and shields of both you and your nearby allies whenever you're swimming.
