The newest addition to the cast of HBO series Game of Thrones has been announced, and it's film legend Max von Sydow. He will play Brandon Stark's mystical tutor, the Three-Eyed Raven. The actor has appeared in many different movies, including Minority Report, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, and the upcoming Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens. According to Entertainment Weekly, he joins the GoT cast as the raven, a creature that had appeared in Bran's dreams. The raven had been portrayed by Struan Rodger in the fourth season, when Bran meets the raven's human form for the first time. Von Sydow is currently signed on to appear in the show's upcoming sixth season, which will most likely premiere in spring 2016. He is the second celebrity to be cast in the show this week; on Saturday, it was revealed that Ian McShane (Deadwood, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) would also appear in the sixth season. Although not much is known about the show's next season yet, Telltale Games is in the process of finishing up the first season of its Game of Thrones adventure game.
