We already know that Funko has a Game of Thrones license as they have just announced their third series of GoT POP! figures.   We also know that they recently announced their new line of  premium 6″ articulated “Legacy” figures with at least 2 big name licenses that were to be announced in February at NYC Toy Fair.   Now comes the news… or at least the HINT of news from Funko president Brian that HBO’s Game of Thrones will be one of the licenses in that 6″ line.

Right before the Thanksgiving holiday our old pal Blanka asked the following question on the official Funko forums:

Can we get some hints as to what’s going to be happening with the Legacy line? I mean, those two major licenses can’t just wait until February! Build the anticipation now!

To which Brian responded:

Look, Winter is Coming..so maybe more hints then!

While that is not an official press release that’s a pretty solid “hint” from the man in charge.   You may also remember that Dark Horse Comics announced last year that they had the license to do action figures as part of their GoT license agreement.   So far all we have seen from Dark Horse are statues, busts and some minimally articulated figures on bases announced.

We will be keeping a close eye on their story and will send out a raven with more news when we get it.
