[UPDATE] Following the publication of this story, Microsoft confirmed the Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition. More details about the new version of the game will be shared on Sunday.
"A 'Game of the Year Edition' of Halo 4 will be offered this October, offering tremendous value for fans who want to enjoy one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2012, and additional DLC all in one place," a Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement. "We will have more details to share during the live stream of the Halo Global Championship Finals this Sunday."

Microsoft will release a $50 Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition in October for Xbox 360, if a leaked image provided to IGN is any indication.
A source provided an image to the site, which suggests the unannounced bundle will include Spartan Ops Season 1, a War Games Map Pass, the Halo 4 Champions Bundle, and digital content released as preorder bonuses and in the Halo 4 Limited Edition.
GameSpot has contacted Microsoft for comment.
