Microsoft's new shooter tallies more unique users than Modern Warfare 3, Minecraft, and FIFA 13 to take top spot in debut week.
Halo 4 blasted off to success on Xbox Live. The latest Xbox Live activity chart shows that Microsoft's new sci-fi shooter tallied more unique users than Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, Call of Duty: Black Ops, and FIFA 13 to secure the top spot for the week of November 5.
Halo 4's status as Xbox Live's most-played title may be short-lived. Just yesterday, Activision released Call of Duty: Black Ops II, a title predicted to be this fall's biggest blockbuster.
The first numbered entry in the series since Bungie's 2007 shooter Halo 3, Halo 4 minted a series-best $220 million in day-one revenue, with $300 expected for the game's first week. For more on the title, check out GameSpot's review.
