Hasbro sent out this amazing page-a-day Star Wars calendar to help us countdown to the release of new Star Wars: The Force Awakens product on “Force Friday” on September 4th.

Today we are 72 days away from Force Friday and the toy of the day sho ws how time and technology can make a good thing even better.   I’m old enough to have seen the original Star Wars trilogy in the theaters, which means that my first toy lightsaber was that inflatable one that Kenner released.  Then I upgraded to the hollow one that whistled when you swung it.   Now we have toy lightsabers that light up and make authentic sounds… and I love them and I’m not to old for them.
