Growing up in Los Angeles meant Kobe was part of your life more often than not, a celebrity so omnipresent that it felt like you knew him personally. But as a sexual assault survivor, my dedication to him was often complicated by a knowledge of what he had admitted to, and a guilt for loving him anyway.
