Rockstar confirms megastorm knocked out power at company's NYC office and now hopes to show new trailer "soon"; new art and preorder bonuses revealed.
Mighty megastorm Hurricane Sandy not only is impacting Call of Duty and Guitar Hero, but also Grand Theft Auto V. In an update to Rockstar Games' website, the company confirmed that a second trailer for the upcoming open-world game has been delayed due to power outages at the firm's New York City office.
"We are working on a second trailer--unfortunately Hurricane Sandy has derailed our plans somewhat but we will have something to show soon," reads a line from the statement. "It's hard to be precise as we have no power whatsoever in our New York office. We hope everyone else in affected areas is doing okay."
Rockstar also confirmed that preorders for GTA V will begin November 5, and it appears some of the game's preorder incentives have leaked. Images posted to All Games Beta suggest Rockstar will offer a keychain image viewer (below) through which players can get a closer look at some of the game's locations. Additional promotional material for GTAV reveals these new game world locations, including the Vespucci Canals, Zancudo River, and Vinewood Hills.
Lastly, the same site also acquired new high-resolution art for GTAV rumored to be offered as an additional preorder incentive. The art shows off scenes of Los Santos, including a woman being arrested (above) and a man holding back a fierce-looking dog.
GTAV is due out during spring 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. For more, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
