Universal Games and Digital Platforms and Funko Collaborate on  First Funko Match-3 Puzzle Game  

 

San Diego Comic-Con Attendees Will Get an Exclusive First-Look 

 

Universal City, Calif. – July 11, 2019 – Universal Games and Digital Platforms, in collaboration with Funko, Inc., today announced Funko Pop! Blitz – a new match-3 puzzle mobile game featuring Funko Pop! characters from popular franchises, including Back to the Future, Jurassic World, Fantastik Plastik, Shrek, How to Train Your Dragon, General Mills, Universal Monsters and more. Fans attending San Diego Comic-Con can find out more about the upcoming launch – and be the first to hear about new character reveals – at the Funko Funkast hour-long panel taking place in the San Diego Convention Center, Room 6A, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 18.

 

In Funko Pop! Blitz, fans can play through 60-second rounds and win big by matching three characters to score points and complete quests to level up. From Marty McFly and the Jurassic World T. rex, to Lucky the Leprechaun and Frankenstein, each Funko Pop! Blitz character will come to life with a range of emotions and fun animations. Players can collect iconic Pop!s and activate “Supers,” which are 3D character animations that celebrate fan-favorite moments from movies, TV shows and commercials. These can be used to clear more Pop!s, create power-ups or add more time to each round.

Funko Pop! Blitz also offers Blitz Mode for players seeking a different kind of challenge. Fans can find a Blitz meter at the bottom of the game board that they can continuously fill up as they match. Once full, one of the five Pop! characters on the board will disappear temporarily, allowing players to make more matches and score bonus points.

Developed by Tic Toc Games, Funko Pop!
