Infinity Nikki – Gacha, Resonance, And Microtransactions Guide

Infinity Nikki is a free-to-play open-world game. Like every other title from the same genre, it has a monetization method that might seem a bit problematic. As such, we want to help you in case you want to take the plunge and spend your hard-earned cash. Here's our guide the discusses microtransactions, resonance, and gacha in Infinity Nikki.

How do microtransactions work in Infinity Nikki - Gacha and resonance guide

Our Infinity Nikki gacha and microtransactions guide discusses several facets about this particular feature. However, we would like to warn you that gacha, by its very nature, relies on chance and randomness. Yes, it's basically gambling, so be careful if you're thinking of trying this mechanic. You don't want to feel compelled to spend your money just to chase after a particular item.

Note: For a recap of the game's dress-up mechanics, you can take a look at our clothing upgrades guide and Styling Contests guide.

Resonance: The Distant Sea banner

In the build that we have access to, the Infinity Nikki Resonance standard banner is called Distant Sea. It has several 5-star premium outfits:

  • Blossoming Stars
  • Fairytale Swan
  • Whisper of Waves
  • Crystal Poems (also has the Purification ability)

Note that this banner's loot pool also includes 4-star attires and various clothing parts. There are a total of 102 items in the loot pool.

Tidal Guidance and pity mechanic

Here are some additional details:

  • Each gacha "pull" or "wish" costs 1x Resonite Crystal (more on this currency later).
  • Outfit sets can have eight or more parts.
  • The pity mechanic ensures that you're guaranteed at least one 5-star item/part every 20 pulls.
  • Tidal Guidance, which appears as a star icon at the right-hand side of the screen, allows you to select a 5-star outfit from the banner. You're guaranteed to receive parts from that outfit set whenever you're lucky enough to get a 5-star roll.

The above might sound player-friendly, at least on paper. However, we feel that this can exacerbate unnecessary spending. This is primarily because outfit sets have separate/individual parts, such as hairstyles, accessories, shoes, dresses, and other frills. It's extremely unlikely to get a full set within just a few pulls.

Likewise, if we take the pity mechanic and Tidal Guidance into consideration, then these concepts might affect the player psychologically, nudging them to pull/spend more and more as they get closer to completing a particular set with numerous clothing parts.

Lastly, in our experience, we actually spent a lot of Resonite Crystals and Diamonds, enough to have 100 pulls, and we still weren't able to obtain a full Whisper of Waves outfit set.

Resonite Crystals and other currencies

The gacha system in Infinity Nikki has several currencies:

  • Diamonds - Regularly obtained from leveling up and various activities; can be exchanged for Resonite Crystals or Revelation Crystals.
  • Resonite Crystals - Used for standard/default banner pulls.
  • Revelation Crystals - Used for limited-time banner pulls.
  • Stellarite - Used for Pear-Pal Selected offerings.

Pear-Pal Selected offerings

These Infinity Nikki gacha offerings require the Stellarite currency:

  • Stylist's Supply - Bibcoon Realm outfit (3-star).
  • Limited Offer - Monster Girl, Cozy Adventure, Bright Days, Quirky Idea, and Sweet Honey outfits (3-star).
  • Season Picks - Moonlight Oath and Scaly Dream (4-star); Whimsical Picnic and First Love (3-star).

Surging Ebbs and Tranquility Droplets: Currencies from duplicates

Infinity Nikki's microtransactions net you certain currencies if you receive duplicates:

  • 1x duplicate 5-star piece - 10x Surging Ebbs
  • 1x duplicate 4-star piece - 4x Surging Ebbs
  • 1x duplicate 3-star piece - 10x Tranquility Droplets

You can exchange these for various items via the Store's Resonance tab. The items include Resonite/Revelation Crystals, animal/creature materials, potions, and more. The key difference is that Tranquility Droplet exchanges have a monthly limit, whereas Surging Ebb exchanges don't have a limit.

Deep Echoes: Makeup, contact lenses, and other cosmetics

Last but not least, all your Infinity Nikki gacha pulls lead to a few cosmetic rewards. These are found in the Deep Echoes tab, which has a gift icon on the banner screen.

Upon having a certain number of draws/pulls, you can select a makeup reward. These include blushes, eyeliners, contact lenses, and lipsticks. Of note are other items, such as avatar frames, Momo outfits, and outfit evolution materials.

That does it for our Infinity Nikki gacha and microtransactions guide. We hope you do your best to be thrifty so you can avoid unnecessary spending.
