Infinity Nikki – How To Unlock And Use Photo Mode

Infinity Nikki is all about exploring the world of Miraland while showcasing your sense of style. However, you can do all these things while making new memories that you can remember fondly. This is done through the use of the camera which, coincidentally, unlocks one of the game's coolest features. Here's our guide on how to unlock Photo Mode in Infinity Nikki.

How to unlock Photo Mode in Infinity Nikki - Photo Mode guide

Infinity Nikki's Photo Mode feature becomes available as you progress further into the main quest. Our guide details what you can expect from this function, the related exploration beats, and where you can find your screenshots.

Land of Wishes quest

You unlock Photo Mode in Infinity Nikki upon completion of the Land of Wishes main quest. This takes place in the town of Florawish, where you also acquire additional Ability Outfits.

After helping out the two children at the main square, an NPC named Bebe will approach you. She'll then give you the camera device, allowing you to open the Photo Mode menu by pressing the "P" key.

Note: Momo is actually the one who takes a photo of Nikki. That means you won't see Momo while the camera function is active.

Photo Mode features: Camera, Graphics, and Controls

Press the "P" key to open the Photo Mode menu. You'll then see several tabs with various functions, including:

  • Camera tab - Changes the focal length and rotation; also allows you to hide Nikki, other NPCs, and Eureka equipment.
  • Graphics - Lets you tweak sliders for brightness, exposure, contrast, shadows, vignette, soft light, and other settings.

Here are the controls:

  • WASD keys - Pan the camera around.
  • Hold the left mouse button and rotate - Rotates the camera.
  • Hold the right mouse button and rotate - Rotates Nikki.
  • Mouse wheel - Zoom in and out.
  • H - Hides the icons.
  • Spacebar - Takes a photo.

Photo Mode features: Poses, Lightning, and Filters

One of the most notable tabs in Infinity Nikki's Photo Mode function is the Poses tab. In it, you'll find over a dozen poses to choose from. This mechanic is actually quite unique, at least compared to Photo Mode in many other games, because:

  • You can pause the poses themselves at the exact moment depending on Nikki's animations and movement.
  • There's a button which allows Nikki to face the camera regardless of how you pan around.
  • The "M" key automatically changes poses and perspectives so you can pick something you like.
  • NPCs that are near you might react and join the photo session as well.

Moreover, there are two additional tabs:

  • Lighting - Lets you choose the direction where the light comes from, as well as the lighting intensity.
  • Filter - Changes the hue and coloration of the photo.

Where to find your Infinity Nikki Photo Mode screenshots?

There are a few ways to take screenshots in Infinity Nikki:

  • As mentioned earlier, you can press the spacebar while Photo Mode is active.
  • You can also press the Windows key + Printscreen key.
  • Lastly, you can hit the F12 key, which takes a screenshot even outside the Photo Mode menu.

Photo Mode screenshots (spacebar) and those you took by pressing the F12 key can be found in the game directory. Specifically, they're in the X6Game\Screenshot folder.

If you use the Windows key + Printscreen key, the images should be in your Pictures\Screenshots folder.

Other activities and content related to Photo Mode

But, that's not all, Infinity Nikki's Photo Mode feature has a few other quirky tidbits:

  • If you open Momo's Album via the menu, you'll see a Scrapbook with key events that you've experienced throughout the campaign.
  • The Nikki's Album tab, meanwhile, has all the images that you've saved so far. You can delete some of the pictures here, but they'll still remain in your folder.
  • Lastly, you can tackle Photo Investigation side quests. There are a lot of these found all over Miraland. The objective is to head to a location and take a picture of the required object, structure, or environmental element. Doing so nets you the Upgrade Pack resource.

That does it for our guide on how to unlock and use Photo Mode in Infinity Nikki. We hope your travels lead to memories that you remember fondly.
