Infinity Nikki is set in the vast world of Miraland, a whimsical and magical realm that all sorts of critters and dreamers have made their home. Accompanied by your trusted cat companion Momo, you must obtain the Miracle Outfits to save the day. However, this is a tall task, one that's going to take up a lot of your time. That's why we've got a few Infinity Nikki tips to help you get started on your journey. 16 things to know before your start Infinity Nikki - Beginner's guideOur Infinity Nikki beginner's guide has several tips that tackle various mechanics. We discuss everything from dress-up concepts to collectibles and combat. We also talk about a few side objectives that you're likely to stumble upon during your adventure. It's a cozy game, so combat is very straightforward
Let's get this out of the way: Infinity Nikki barely has what could be considered as engaging combat mechanics. As a cozy open-world game, fighting enemies isn't really your focus. However, if you do encounter baddies known as Esselings, you can easily eliminate them by firing projectiles. Here's a quick summary: - Most regular enemies in the game can be taken out in a single hit.
- There's no traditional targeting system (i.e. crosshairs). You have to pan the camera around and see if an enemy has a white highlight/outline, which means they'll get hit if you shoot your projectile.
- Some enemies have large numbers next to their models. It implies that you need to hit them several times. One particular foe, the Greedy Nightmare, drops a bunch of Bling (i.e. gold) once defeated.
- If you encounter enemies with shields, you need to hit them from behind. Alternatively, you can hop on top of a ledge until they "drop aggro" (i.e. they're no longer aggressive). You can then float in mid-air and do a plunging attack that hits their vulnerable part.
- There are times when you'd stumble upon treasure chests. Defeating the hostiles surrounding them unlocks these containers.
Don't forget your dailies
One key Infinity Nikki tip to remember is that you should always complete daily tasks, known in-game as Daily Wishes. That's because the points you earn here are needed to increase your Stylist Rank. Several main quests in the game actually require you to reach a certain rank first before you can advance further. As such, if you miss out on your dailies, you'll have no choice but to wait for another reset just to tackle the next main quest. Infinity Nikki, like previous titles in the Nikki series, has dress-up mechanics that are part of its core gameplay. Here's the gist: - You can find over a thousand clothing items, from hairstyles, tops, jeans, shoes, socks, gloves, shades, and numerous types of cosmetic frills.
- Press the "C" key to open the Wardrobe menu. This is where you can mix-and-match clothing parts and accessories.
- The Heart of Infinity, accessible by pressing the "I" key, is where you'll find upgrade perks and nodes, including craftable designs.
- You can craft dresses and clothing items via the Sketches menu, which can be opened by pressing the "Y" key.
- Your attires have a particular attribute in which they have high stats: Elegant, Fresh, Sweet, Sexy, and Cool. Upgrading your dresses and gear pieces increases their stats, too.
- You'll want to upgrade your items so you can successfully complete challenges. Some are optional, while others are required to progress further in the campaign.

Infinity Nikki also lets you collect materials from all sorts of creatures. You need to obtain a specific Ability Outfit first, then you should have it equipped. Doing so allows you to groom animals, catch insects, and fish in bodies of water. Related guides: How to get all Ability Outfits and How to groom/catch animals Track resources on the world map
Another important Infinity Nikki tip to keep in mind is that most resources in the game can be tracked. As long as you've found one piece of such an item, you can open the world map and click on the book icon in the lower-left corner of the screen. This opens the Collections menu, where you can track a specific material's location. Moreover, once you've obtained enough of a certain item--i.e. 50 of a specific herb/fur/insect or 100kg. of a particular species of fish--you can activate the Precise Track option. This shows the exact location of resource nodes. Unlock permanent perks via the Heart of Infinity
The Heart of Infinity ("I" key) is where you can unlock craftable sketches for your Miracle Outfits and Ability Outfits. Furthermore, this panel is also where you can find upgrade nodes. - Insight nodes are gathering and combat-related tallies. These upgrades net you bonus essence if you do these actions.
- Styling Potential nodes grant bonuses to the parts that you're wearing whenever you engage in Styling Contests.
- Fragrance nodes let you craft perfumes that can be equipped. These modify your charged attacks.
Be on the lookout for Whimstars
To unlock perks and craftables in the Heart of Infinity, you need a lot of Whimstars. There are hundreds of these collectibles in every region, dungeon, and cavern in the game. The good thing is that your companion, Momo, will make a remark whenever a Whimstar is nearby. You can then press the "V" key to track the Whimstar on your screen. Compared to Whimstars, Dews of Inspiration are a lot more plentiful. If there are around 60 Whimstars in a region, then you can expect to find 300 or so Dews of Inspiration. These purple orbs can be acquired by shooting them from afar with your projectile, which causes them to fly toward you. Once you've amassed enough of these, you can exchange them with a dragon NPC named Kilo the Cadenceborn to receive some cool goodies. As mentioned earlier, these collectibles can be found in every location in the game: - On the world map, you'll see a tally at the top-right corner of your screen when you mouse over a region.
- This tally is also seen at the top-right corner if you're inside an instanced dungeon.
- If you enter a cavern or tunnel, you can click on the cave's icon to see how many of these are in the vicinity.
Complete Realm Challenges to earn resources
Speaking of materials and resources, the Realm Challenges selectable via fast travel beacons provide you with the means to amass a lot of items. These include: - Realm of Dark - Defeating a boss to receive crafting items.
- Realm of Eureka - Clearing a mini-dungeon to acquire Eureka equipment.
- Realm of Escalation - Exchanging inventory items for gold and crafting materials.

You don't need to roam all over the world just to find resources. One important Infinity Nikki tip to consider is the use of the Dig Pear Pal function. With it, you can choose a specific resource that you'd like to get more of passively. Next, set how long the "digging" process would take--i.e. from four hours to 20 hours. The longer the duration, the more of that item you'll receive later on. Advance the time via the Run Pear Pal function
Speaking of your Pear Pal, there's also the Run Pear Pal function. It's basically your in-game clock, allowing you to advance the time in case specific hours are required for a particular quest. Once activated, you can play a minigame that's somewhat akin to Super Mario Run and Flappy Bird, a side-scroller where you have to get past obstacles. If you don't want to go through that, we suggest clicking on the "Skip" option at the bottom of the screen. This lets you advance the time without having to play the minigame at all. Check your friends list for NPC messages
Even if you haven't added other players in Infinity Nikki, you should still check your friends list in case NPCs left a message. In some instances, you'd be able to reply to them. These might also lead to side quests that you can tackle. Partake in minigames
If you're out and about exploring, you might come across outposts where NPCs offer the chance to play minigames. These include segments where you have to hop across platforms or those where you need to run while passing through rings. Try to achieve a perfect score when attempting these to receive the best rewards. Be sure to try Photo Mode
Infinity Nikki's Photo Mode is one of the best that we've seen among the countless games that we've played. It has nifty functions, including poses that allow you to pause to get the perfect positioning, perspective swaps for getting the right angles, lighting options to make Nikki stand out, and more. Even better, there are world quests where you can take pictures of structures and objects in the environment, netting you materials that can be used for your camera. Lastly, perhaps the most integral Infinity Nikki tip we can share is that you should always be wary of free-to-play games with gacha mechanics and microtransactions. That's because they can compel you to spend real money unnecessarily. To be fair, Infinity Nikki is different from other free-to-play games, such as Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves. Those rely heavily on combat systems and acquiring 5-star "meta" characters. Infinity Nikki, meanwhile, is significantly more laid back and relaxing, and the 5-star items being offered are dresses. The key factor is that these outfit sets consist of eight or more parts. As such, even if there are mechanics that work in your favor, you might feel slightly nudged to pull and spend more.
