It’s Dark Knight day as ‘The Dark Knight Rises” opens tonight at midnight.  So lets look at some TDKR product!   Namely Mattel’s Dark Knight Rises Movie Masters line.

Let’s start with one of the surprises in the line – The Walmart exclusive Commissioner Gordon figure.  This figure was not officially announced and not shown at Toy Fair.   While we had just gotten this figure a few months earlier in a Batman Legacy 2-pack this was a great reuse/repaint of the figure.  The icing on the cake was Mattel’s brilliant idea to include an alternate piece for the Collect-and-Connect bat-signal.  This version has a dark blue coat, a new gun, an axe and the shattered front to the bat-signal from the last scenes of the previous “The Dark Knight” film.
