The team at Jakks was kind enough to send over a set of the first four of their Star Wars: The Last Jedi 18″ Big-Figs for us to look at and show you.  I really like the use of both plastic and soft goods on these figures.  At this scale the transition between material is not jarring and the soft goods used lay more natural on the figures at this scale.

REY – Ray is in the outfit we saw here in at the very end of The Force Awakens.  She has 7 points of articulation including: neck, shoulders, wrists and hips and comes with Luke’s lightsaber.   The lightsaber has a removable blade.

KYLO REN – Kylo Ran has changed the details of his costume between films.  His hooded cloak is gone and has been replaced by a cape that has some texture detail on it.   Kylo’s came and the bottom part of his tunic are both soft goods.  Kylo comes with a removable cape and his lightsaber.  The main blade of his lightsaber is removable. Kylo has 7 points of articulation at the neck, shoulders, wrists and hips.

FIRST ORDER STORMTROOPER – This is the standard troop version of the First Order’s Stormtrooper.  There are some slight costume modifications to the costume and helmet from last film.   The First order Stormtrooper comes with his blaster that can be holstered onto his thigh.  The Stormtrooper has 7 points of articulation at the neck, shoulders, wrists and hips.

PRAETORIAN GUARD – REGULAR – There are at least 3 different versions of the Praetorian guard in the movie, each with a different helmet and weapon.    One of them is represented by the regular release in the main line out today.  This guard has double knife blades that can be combined into a single weapon.  Hehas softgoods on his “skirt” and features 7 points of articulation at the neck, shoulders, wrists and hips.
