We’re another month in to the final countdown of Mattel’s Justice League Unlimited line. This is the third in the final six 3-packs of figures featuring 2 new figures and one re-release. New in this set are villain (and former caveman) Vandal Savage and (recent caveman) Future Superman. The re-issue is a repaint of Batman. This pace is based on the Justice League second season episode “Hereafter” from 2004.
Savage has a new head, torso and arms. He has no accessories (as is common in most of the 3-packs.
Future Superman has a new head, arms and overpiece.
Savage is a little on the short side, using the Lex Luthor boot legs. The torso is wide giving him good bulk so can still stand up to Superman. Savage was a must have figure on many fan’s top 10 lists so it’s great that we were able to get him before the closing of the line.
I really dig the Future Superman figure. I always enjoyed the original concept of the 3-packs that made them episode specific. If we have to get a variant of a main character, it’s good to get a show specific one.
This set will be available to order 9/17 on MattyCollector.com for $30.
