NPD data reveals North American first-month sales of 38 Studios' new role-playing game across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
Yesterday, the NPD Group revealed 38 Studios' Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning to be the fourth best-selling game of February. But what does that equal in actual sales? Data provided by the group to Joystiq shows the game sold 330,000 units in February.
That figure represents sales of the role-playing game in the United States across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions of the title. GameSpot has contacted Electronic Arts regarding worldwide sales data for Reckoning, but as of press time, no response has been provided.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning shipped on February 7 and was the only new intellectual property to grace the NPD's list of top 10 games for the month. The game adds a new downloadable content pack--The Legend of Dead Kel--on March 20, and 38 Studios founder Curt Schilling said a sequel is in the works.
