Metal Gear designer to give in-depth look at new game engine and explain development process of Ground Zeroes next month.
Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima will give a public demo of the Fox Engine next month at the 2013 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, California. The developer showed off the technology to members of the media in August, though filming was prohibited.
The industry veteran and staff from Kojima Productions will discuss the development process of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes during the talk, showing off the Fox Engine to the public for the first time in the process. Those in attendance will get an overview of topics like asset creation and rendering techniques for the new engine.
Joining Kojima at the talk--titled Photorealism Through the Eyes of a FOX: The Core of Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes--will be Ground Zeroes art director Hideki Sasaki, lighting artist Masayuki Suzuki, and technical director Junji Tago.
A trailer for a mysterious project called The Phantom Pain was shown during the Video Game Awards in December, though it has been speculated that this game may in fact be an elaborate tease for Metal Gear Solid 5.
