There's good news for fans of the CW shows Kung Fu and Stargirl. The two series have been renewed for new seasons, much like most of the rest of The CW's programming. The network has given Kung Fu a second season order, while Stargirl--a series originally produced for the late DC Universe streaming service--will return for Season 3. "We are beyond proud to continue to share the stories of Nicky Shen and Courtney Whitmore, two strong, powerful young women at the center of this new generation of hit shows for The CW in Kung Fu and DC's Stargirl," CW president Mark Pedowitz said in a statement. "While each boasts remarkable talent on both sides of the camera, Kung Fu and DC's Stargirl have not only treated fans to some visually stunning action and high-flying heroics, but they also both strike very powerful emotional chords as they delve into the family dynamics and personal relationships at their core, and we are so excited to see what happens next." The Stargirl renewal is extra interesting as Season 2 of the series hasn't even debuted yet. It's set to return to The CW in August. The first season originally released first on DC Universe, before being broadcast on The CW the next day. Season 2 will be CW exclusive. The first season of Kung Fu is currently airing, after premiering on the network on April 7. Continue Reading at GameSpot
