Lady Gaga gets serious in the latest "ARTPOP" promotional image.

We're not sure WHAT's got Lady Gaga so riled up, but man, we would nah-ha-ha-HOT want to get in her way right now. The singer tweeted the above photo (without a caption, mind you) early this morning, letting the intensity of her furrowed brow and clenched jaw, and OH MY GOD IS THAT A HUMAN ARM speak for themselves. Maybe she's trying to send a "DO NOT LEAK" message to any and all potential ARTPOP leakers? Until the lead single and music video for "Applause" get released on Aug. 19, it's not just "Paws up!" It's "PAWS OFF."

Hmmm, but what else could the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards performer's visual imply? Well, the prosthetic arm evokes the melding of the organic and the synthetic, much like her previous ARTPOP promo photo (which featured Mother Monster nude on a motherboard couch). Remember, her fourth studio album will exist as some kind of high-tech app hybrid! Then again, we do think the image hints at a certain top-secret collaboration! (Thanks for the clue-detection lessons, Dan Brown.) From Gaga's Sam The Eagle-esque scowl to her Beaker-level upturned frown, we think the pop star may just be hinting at a Muppets collab! Hey, it wouldn't be the first time!
