PHILADELPHIA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Philadelphia today announces it is seeking Philadelphia’s biggest LEGO® fan to fill a full-time position as Master Model Builder at the Discovery Center opening in spring 2017. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply online now through midnight on Dec. 2. The Master Model Builder will be selected at Brick Factor, a two-day building competition open to the public that will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 11, from 12:30-2 p.m. at Plymouth Meeting Mall.

The Master Model Builder is a hands-on role that is responsible for maintaining and developing new features and building new models at LEGOLAND Discovery Center, as well as working with the thousands of children expected to visit the attraction. Those interested in this role can apply here.
During the two-day Brick Factor competition, contestants will display their skills by taking part in creative challenges and building original LEGO brick models in timed rounds of judged competition. The first day of Brick Factor will consist of two rounds with eliminations taking place during each round. The day’s top 10 competitors will participate in formal interviews and a final building challenge on Sunday, after which one will be named LEGOLAND Discovery Center Philadelphia’s Master Model Builder.
Guest judges for the competition include Megan Quigley, Master Model Builder at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston, and one lucky child. Contest details for the child judge will be announced on the attraction’s Facebook page Monday, Nov. 14.
