Listen To A Snippet Of Unreleased Britney Spears Song, ‘Ouch’ (!!!)

Merry everything! Today we got our mitts on an unreleased Britney Spears track, "Ouch." Sure, the production value is still at "demo" level and the song's melody is a little basic, but do we even really care? We just found an unreleased Britney Spears track! It's time to be happy.

Sung primarily in her falsetto, Britney's vocals on "Ouch" are wispy, ethereal and decided less produced than vocals on her other demos. Clocking in at only two minutes, Britney sings about preparing to hook up with a hot guy who sadly, already has a girlfriend: "Let’s play pretend/ Like you’re my friend and everything is okay/ Then we shall begin to put an end/ To all the games that we play/ My body is a temple, I’ll choose who worships it.../ So if you’re ready, just call me on the phone/ I’ll be here waiting, no need to be alone/ Ouch, your heart, you’re burning me up."

Rumor has it that the song, cowritten by Spears with Michelle Bell and Nanna Martorell, was recorded all the way back in 2003. According to Martorell's Tumblr, “I still remember the phone call when they told me that Britney had chosen one of my tracks. It was an amazing feeling! I live in Sweden and unfortunately I never got the opportunity to meet her in person.” Martorell went on to gush that Britney has plans to record the entire version of "Ouch," the result of which we're sure will be anything but painful.
