Meet Hudson, Katy Perry's brother!

We love when our favorite musicians have equally talented siblings. First, there's Beyoncé's sister Solange (who needs no introduction, really), then, we recently discovered that Bruno Mars has FOUR singing sisters, and now, we just found out that Katy Perry's brother is a musician too! And we use the term "discover" loosely since Katy Perry's brother, David Hudson, known professionally as "Hudson," has actually been an artist for a while (he released his first single, "A Real Man's Life," via YouTube in 2011). That said, it's our humble opinion that Hudson's latest song, "Chained," is gonna catapult him to superstardom.

A mix between The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, and like, a little Bruce Springsteen (anyone else hear that?), "Chained" is just indie enough to keep the cool kids happy, but just hooky enough to make a splash on the Top 40. And while Hudson's professional moniker bares no resemblance to his famous sister's stage name (she was born as Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson), that doesn't mean she's not fully supportive of his career. According to Us Weekly, Katy recently showed up to cheer her brother on at his Hollywood showcase! Unfortunately, Katy's BF, John Mayer, stayed home, but that doesn't mean we can't fantasize about a future Mayer and Hudson collaboration, right? With maybe some background vocals by Katy? Blood is thicker than water, y'all!
